THE POWER OF CAMARADERIE
Nothing builds camaraderie and a positive working relationship better than a long overdue face-to-face celebration of hard work and an exciting future. A long-time Asia Pacific-based client was ready to plan their first post-pandemic live Summit, typically held bi-annually, to bring together 350 key partners and distributors in Singapore. CWT M&E was ready to support with an event that exceeded all expectations.
#BUILDING CONNECTIONS
CWT M&E created an entire bespoke program, including creative design and concept theming of “ReConnect” to signify the importance of personal connection. ReConnect was a constant visual leading up to, and during, the event through pre-event material, banners, name badges and LED screens.
The event started with a rocking Welcome Dinner at the Coliseum Theater in the Hard Rock Hotel with closing entertainment by Fei Fei, a well-known local multi-lingual singer and comedian. The event’s final night featured a buy-out of the New York zone of Universal Studios, featuring various landmarks, such as the New York Public Library from Ghostbusters.
Intimate gatherings were also key to event success. CWT M&E focused on smaller venues that would be both memorable and favorable to spark conversation. The client sales team enjoyed a pre-event dinner in the Gardens by the Bay—the world’s largest glass greenhouse—while key partners had lunch at the premier Flutes Restaurant in the National Museum, a Singapore National Monument.
With attendees coming from all over the Asia Pacific region, we partnered with Intreprefy to provide translation in three languages, which was conveniently accessed through an app on attendee smartphones. Additionally, we provided a physical translator for Japanese attendees at the partner lunch.
As social responsibility is critical to our client, we ensured sustainability practices were incorporated wherever possible. This included designing welcome kits with branded collapsible water bottles to promote use of water stations and leveraging the event app to eliminate paper guides and agendas. The app was very popular with attendees and also significantly increased engagement.
CWT M&E’s flexibility to meet unique billing requirements is also critical for our client. As partners pay to attend, we billed each separately. Additionally, we managed a complex post-event financial reconciliation to separate reporting by division.
Our client was so pleased with the event's success, they publicized a celebratory post-event video on their LinkedIn page. CWT M&E is also honored to be awarded this event through 2028—the first time our client has not mandated a competitive bid process.
"You have a great project team here. The amount of time and effort they put in … it was not easy, but they made our Partner Summit a great one." Event Owner
