A thoughtful and varied agenda provided attendees with diversity and ensured experiences encompassed all the different aspects of Panamanian culture. This was recognized by iad as well as by the 2024 Heavent Awards, where CWT was proud to receive Silver for Best Travel, Incentive or Team-building.
Focusing on iad’s vision, activities were planned in rural areas to showcase communication despite differences and working together harmoniously. The highlight was spending a day with the Embera people, one of the last seven indigenous tribes in Central America, to experience their culture, traditional dances, cooking and crafts. Special moments also included playing football with children/dominoes with elders, taking a street salsa dance lesson in World Heritage Site Casco Viejo and painting a mural with residents of an old-town neighborhood.
A trip to Panama is not complete without a tour of the renowned Canal, which revolutionized global maritime trade. To make this once-in-a-lifetime trip complete, private ferry service provided a leisurely and beautiful ride to the 220-island Pearl Archipelago for an underwater team-building treasure hunt.
The final night party truly celebrated and showed proper admiration for attendees’ accomplishments. Before departing for their home cities, attendees reveled on a rooftop overlooking the city while festively wearing their gift of a traditional Panama hat.
True camaraderie was achieved as highlighted by a WhatsApp group chat created pre-event with ongoing messaging post-event… more than 600 messages have been shared, including: “Your dedication to creating unique experiences is priceless. My favorite will forever remain those spent in the company of Native Americans, an authentic encounter with a rich and inspiring culture.”
